Feelings of distrust and hostility toward 'the other' political side are probably higher now than at any time since the Vietnam era. Better Angels, a national group, brings conservatives and liberals together for political discussions to clarify differences and listen for common ground. Rich Midkiff of Better Angels will provide communication skills that you can use to mitigate difficult political conversations at work and home.

Rich Midkiff Bio: Rich served in the Air Force for 22 years and with the State of Alabama for 22 years. In eight very different agencies, he was an instructor pilot, classroom teacher, performance coach, curriculum writer for a broad spectrum of technical and humanistic topics, training manager, or deputy director for training administration. Midkiff was the agency administrator for the first operational Learning Management System in Alabama's executive government, which provided work courses online for 4,000 employees state wide. Since retiring, Rich volunteers in the Charlotte area, and is a Moderator for Better Angels.
